TW: Stillbirth

Stillbirth Stories is an audio archive supported by Wellcome Trust and Tommy's. It is unique collection of interviews with parents and clinicians talking about their experiences of stillbirth. In this project I have been commissioned to direct and animate one of a series of films they are producing called 'How to Give Support,' a selection of audio clips taken from interviews the producers did with parents and their experiences at this painful time. The topic of this project requires a very sensitive approach and is intended as a resource for other parents or their close family who are going through a similar experience. All six commissioned films will be rolled-out in Autumn 2018 as part of an awareness campaign.

I had the honour of illustrating and animating a film for TheBabyLossSeries - a collection of eight animations featuring real voices and stories of loss created for Tommy's Baby Charity in partnership with StillbirthStories. "How To Give Support" is one of 8 videos in the Baby Loss Series, created with the support of Tommy's Baby Charity in partnership with Stillbirth Stories. The videos use excerpts from audio recordings of parents talking about their experience with losing their baby. The series aims to break the silence and raise awareness on different aspects of baby loss, and provide support for the people who need it.
